I was been very astonished about the situation 1996 when I did travell by motorbike and train across Vietnam regarding the openness of the local humans towards foreigners.

Heavy economy contrasts between south and north.

Unbelieveable the clever created cavesystem of Chu Chi in the area between Hoh Chi Minh City, and Phnom Phen as memorys of the war.

Beautiful emperorcities from past dynasties like "Hue"in centralvietnam ,where the buildings of the "Prohibited City" do become restaurated very extravagant.

Impressive museums for warcrime and warhistory which going to visit should be a duty for the traveller.

Calm beaches for swimming which are easy to reach by car or motorbike do invite for relaxing

Plenty of musicpubs, billiardsalons and many sorts of entertainment are available in Saigon.

Phantastic food,go and try "Namnuang",it is delicious.

I did prefer the south of Vietnam because of the much warmer climate.

The north which is still very underdeveloped I did like because of the nice landscapes, especial the area around Halong Bay ,where several people from different nationalities did arrange a trekkingtrip to this area.

I did meet Vietnam as a country special in the north where the humans after long periods of war and hell of a row start to believe slowly that it is peace now ,and did even watch humans smiling and joking at their hard alldayswork.

In the south the younger generation is keen to learn how to manage computers and young

people who can afford do join eveningclasses for english and computers.

Foreign join-venture investors do start to establish partnercompanies.Vietnam is going to have an economical boom, but it is hard to come by the everywhere existing corruption.
