Travelling around Thailand by airconbus is a pleasure compared to a bustrip in Laos.
The busses are very old and many dont have any windscreens or doors and are full of localmarketwomen doing business in the bus.Not very comfortable but in no case boring.
A definitely underdeveloped infrastructure and a poor sreetsystem do make it very hard for the "beginning tourismus" which starts to develop very slow in the moment
Regarding this circumstances it is very cheap travelling around by publictransport.
Phantastic temples,beautiful landscapes and busy markets,where you may find from grasshoppers until TVs everything .It rewards you for the poor streetcondition and the woodseats in the busses.
Very interesting to join the big "Rocketfestival"in april .After the ceremonie in the temple,buddists fire selfmanufactured bamboorockets and pray to buddha for rain to water the ricefields.
